FINALISTS INCLUDE FORMER JOCKEY AND CROCODILE HUNTER

Over the past month, entries have been flowing in for the opportunity of a lifetime - to become the Victorian Spring Carnival Spruiker!

The Spruiker will gain VIP access to the 50-Day Carnival, to promote and report on all of the race day action and official Spring Racing Carnival events.

Not only will the Spruiker earn the esteemed title and bragging rights but will also walk away with a cool $10,000 in cash and a $5,000 wardrobe allowance.

Racing Victoria Limited (RVL) can now reveal the five competition finalists:

Aaron McCarthy, 28, Port Melbourne – A former Crocodile Hunter come Weather Guy on cruise

ships around the world, Aaron says that if you can jump off it, slide down it, climb up it or swim through it he’ll do it!

Chantelle Raleigh, 24, Wattle Glen – A former classical ballet dancer, Chantelle is now a Virgin Blue cabin crew member and “WAG” to North Melbourne Ruckman Hamish McIntosh. Her favourite saying is “All you need is love and a high kick.”

Sammy Hyland, 32, Berwick – A former professional jockey, Sammy has had over 1000 career wins in the saddle and says the craziest thing he has ever done besides riding thoroughbreds was walking on fire not just once, but twice at the Anthony Robbins Unleash the Power Withinseminar.

Tineka Everaardt, 23, Surrey Hills – An aspiring journalist, Tineka is a self-confessed adventurer and says she thinks she inspired Cobra Starship to write the song “I make them good girls go bad”.

Tommy Little, 24, Port Melbourne – A stand-up comedian and freelance MC, Tommy says that if he is to become the Spring Carnival Spruiker he will sky dive into Flemington on Emirates Melbourne Cup Day dressed as a horse with his tandem instructor on his back dressed as a jockey.
