RACEGOERS from all parts of the country flock to the goldfields of Western Australia in the second week of September for the annual Kalgoorlie Boulder ‘Race Round.

An hour’s flight east from Perth, Kalgoorlie Boulder is the hub of the goldfields and one of the west’s largest cities. An active mining town, its wide streets and grand old buildings are full of people still living the prospecting dream.
