RACING Queensland offers its sincerest condolences to the family and friends of Mr Tony Price, who passed away at the weekend.

Mr Price, who was inducted into the Queensland Harness Racing Hall of Fame last year, was a highly respected racing administrator, breeder and owner.

Albion Park Harness Racing Club Chairman David Fowler said Mr Price was a wonderful ambassador for the sport.

“Tony was a long-time committee member at Albion Park, who really advocated the thoughts and feelings of the grass roots industry,” Mr Fowler said.

“Aside from his racetrack success, he was a very popular man in harness racing circles and no one ever had a bad word to say about him.”

The Price family is synonymous with harness racing in Queensland with Tony’s daughter Shannon a prominent trainer and wife Katie an owner. He will be sorely missed by the Queensland harness racing fraternity.
